The Public Relations Society of America welcomes your application for membership!

Many beneficial resources are included in your membership dues, and others are available at a reduced member fee.

Any individual who devotes a substantial portion of time to the paid professional practice of public relations or to the teaching or administering of public relations courses in an accredited college or university is eligible for membership. Applicants are required to pay an initiation fee of $65 and annual dues of $225. Local Chapter and Professional Interest Section fees are additional.

Upon joining PRSA, members agree to adhere to PRSA's Code of Professional Standards for the Practice of Public Relations.

Membership in the Public Relations Society of America allows you to develop your skills through programs such as The Annual International Conference as well as chapter and section conferences, seminars, workshops, and newsletters.

Membership also keeps you informed and allows you to learn through member publications:

  • Public Relations Tactics: An indispensable cutting-edge monthly that delivers practical how-to information written by PR professionals
  • The Public Relations Strategist: A quarterly publication that focuses on strategic issues in the practice of public relations
  • The Blue Book: An Annual Directory of PRSA Member Services
  • The Green Book: A Guide to Public Relations Service Organizations
  • The Red Book: A Directory of the PRSA Counselors Academy

PRSA members are also able to access the Professional Resource Center, which is a resource to:

  • Learn about all PRSA's programs and member services
  • Utilize career resources and the Career Reading Room
  • Gain access to listings of Public Relations job opportunities
  • Post your resume in order to reach the best employers
  • Order public relations-related products from the entire PRSA Catalog

PRSA membership also puts you in touch with a nationwide network of professionals in your specific geographic areas and fields of interest.
