  • Develop and execute PR programs for a variety of clients
  • Perform media relations activities such as media list and press material development, and media pitching

  • Manage client budgets and maintain close communications with account team
  • Assist other PR team members with client work as needed

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develops strategy and oversees implementation of comprehensive plans for regular communication with WPAHS leadership, employees and physicians.
  • Is the “go to” source for all communications within the WPAHS Physician Organization.
  • Oversees preparation of internal employee communications regarding company performance, future direction, patient care and corporate or human resource policies. Ensures accuracy and timeliness of information distributed. Coordinates the preparation of company publications, including articles, confirming artwork, verifying facts, giving final approval, etc.
  • Develops, implements, and maintains internal editorial policies and standards.
  • Manages special projects related to internal and physician communications, such as overseeing employee events, town hall meetings, employee videos, etc. 
Education:  BA/BS Degree required; Master’s degree preferred.

Required Experience:  Minimum of 10 years experience leading strategic communications initiatives.  Experience in employee communications required.  Experience in health care preferred. Strategic background demonstrated by a sample communications plan.  The successful candidate is a strong writer, a creative thinker and a detail-oriented planner with experience gaining physician trust and engaging employees through tailored communications plans.
