Earlier this year, PRSA Pittsburgh accepted proposals from Pittsburgh area not-for-profit organizations that need public relations, marketing and communications assistance. The Board of Directors carefully reviewed all submitted proposals, and, although it was a tough decision, selected the Mentoring Partnership of Southwestern PA’s proposal.
Since 1995, The Mentoring Partnership of Southwestern PA has been leading the local movement to connect young people with caring adults. As a resource to more than 140 local programs, they continually work to know what mentoring programs exist, the level to which those programs meet best practices, and the needs of those programs.
PRSA and PRSA Pittsburgh have teamed up to make renewing membership easier in tough economic times. Now in effect, the PRSA Hardship Plan enables PRSA members who are unemployed, have been members for five or more years, and who are currently up for renewal to apply for a one-time hardship credit of $110 when renewing their National dues. PRSA Pittsburgh is supporting National’s efforts by reducing its chapter dues for those eligible members by 50 percent, to just $22.50. Please refer to the PDF document for more information.
Take a few minutes to help PRSA serve you better. Tell us your job title, organizational setting, industry and area(s) of specialization. Each month, May through August, PRSA will randomly select five members who update their demographics information to receive gifts, including a $100 Amazon gift card and items from the PRSA Store. You could be a winner!
Update your demographics information on MemberNet. If you are renewing your membership by mail or fax, you also can update your demographics on the back of the dues invoice.
